Buying

You purchase a product/s at the price on our website and we deliver it/them to you.  See Delivery below for details and charges.

If we don’t have a product you technically shouldn’t be able to place the order on the site but you will be able to see an estimate of when it will be in stock.  However, we endeavour to maintain a good stock of all products.  That said, it can all depend on shop sales during the day!  We’ll keep you in touch.

 

Delivery

Postage and packing is charged at £4.25 per order for UK delivery.  This is for 2nd class Royal Mail in protective packaging and with products cling-wrapped for added water protection.  We will generally despatch the working day following the order.  However, the distance from the nearest Post Office can make it difficult.  We don’t drive!  But we’re working on it!  In addition, while it’s wonderful being based on Arran, it does mean that we rely on the ferries, predominantly the Ardrossan/Brodick one.  If there are cancellations due to either the weather or technical issues, please be aware that both the post leaving the island and incoming stock to us can be delayed.  

So what we’re basically saying is that there is no guaranteed delivery time! We’ll get it to you asap. It’s not an order before midnight and get it before breakfast scenario!!

Returns

If you change your mind, simply return the products to us by Signed For Royal Mail post (at your expense) and, assuming that the goods are in a resalable condition, we will make a full refund straightaway.  No mucking about, you get your money back.

 

Privacy

When you buy on the website we have no access whatsoever to your card details or other financial information.  Any information that we do have is kept confidential and we do not share it with, or sell it to, anyone.  See our full Privacy policy.

 

VAT

​

There is no UK VAT on books or maps.  We are not currently registered for VAT.
